About Me
In the summer of 2012 I decided to use this blog as an outlet for talking about my radio show that I started at WCBN 88.3 fm Ann Arbor! It was my first time being a DJ for a radio station and I was very excited about it! I have a different show now, Super Awesome Music Times with Mary (Tuesdays 1-3pm), and I post my show on here as soon as I can and I talk about it a bit as well. You can see all of the previous shows I've done by clicking the links at the top of the page. "Transformations" was the show I had during winter semester 2013, "Come On, Wake Up Ann Arbor" was my first show in 2012, and I've been rotating host on several different specialty shows as well.
My church experiment (which is pretty much on the back-burner now, but I may still do someday) is I am going to visit all the churches, synagogs, Buddhist temples, etc. that I can find in the downtown Ann Arbor area. I'm going to compare each one including how they do things, how the people are different, and how they make me feel. This is not an attempt to choose a church for myself (I really don't have any desire to do so) or to pass judgement on how different churches or religions do things. It is simply an attempt to make objective observations, get to know different kinds of people, and to have fun doing a social experiment of sorts. Currently I'm thinking of posting just voice recordings of myself talking about my experiences and of me interviewing others. I might also write a bit. If you have any suggestions about how to make this a more fun and interesting experience for myself and you, please let me know!
Radio Experiments!
Hey everyone! Here is my first post on this blog EVER! So I have only gone to one church so far and the recording I got there wasn’t so great. I might just have some audio of me talking about the first church, or I might go back at some point and try to get some recordings of talking to people there. Just a warning, my posts on this blog probably won’t be super consistent at first, since I am a college student and have other responsibilities. But, I will try to post on a regular basis.
If you have no idea what I’m talking about with the church, read my about me on my blog. Also feel free to ask me questions and post responses to my posts!
Yay!
